A very nice and solid acrylic valet - the pieces are beveled and very well made - a compliment to any dressing room, bedroom, closet or guest room. While the piece is a mid century design it stands the test of time and works well in spaces from modern to traditional. The piece allows for a jacket, pants and has a four sided tray atop that will allow for change, wallet, rings, etc.

This is a rare and spectacular Vanity mirror by Charles Hollis Jones. We have a relationship with Charles and during a recent phone call he confirmed that this mirror is a rare example of his Wishbone mirror, he named the "Glamour Mirror' as it gives the owner the ability to stand back and see themselves while trying on scarves, etc. The mirror sits in a framework that allows for easy adjustments to the mirror pivoting back and forth. A compliment to any dressing room, mens or Women's space. Because the mirror has such a long and very well designed stem and base, the user can stand this on a dresser or low console and see themselves much better. This mirror has a bevel to the top edge. Someone had the idea of painting the base, which we removed. However, they also added a small round magnifying mirror to the reverse, which we have decided to leave - while It is not original to the piece, it does have a purpose, and it can be removed if your mirror is seen from the back or floats in a room.

A very large Italian Murano Paperweight. A spectacular example of hand blown work combining, not only many colors, but a large array of ribbons, spirals, etc. Added to the color and size is the addition of gold, which makes this a wonderful decorative piece. Vibrant dominant colors of Oranges and reds are combined with blues and greens... The 5" sphere sits on its own lovely wooden base. A compliment to any shelf or desk top from the den to the Childs room. Glass was the dominate force in the economy of Venice for hundreds of years. It was so important that glassmakers were not allowed to leave with their glass secrets, under penalty of death. Because of the importance of this industry, though not having much personal freedom, glassmakers were held in high esteem and lived like princes. At one time Venice had ruled the world of glassmaking but by the time of the classic period of paperweights their dominance had long since passed, first to Bohemia; subsequently other countries gained supremacy. By the classic period, Venetian glass was, and still is, largely characterized by gaudy, cheaply made items for tourists.

A wonderful hand blown art glass sculpture from Teign Valley Glass in England. The shop has been around since the early 20th C. and is renowned for it's glass work... this piece is a wonderful abstract round piece. We have a mate to this one, please see images. A monumental terra cotta swan from Italy. The piece is a wonderful addition to the garden or lanai. Made of dense material and able to withstand the elements. Works well as a centerpiece as well. A bronze table mirror on stand. This piece was heavily patinated and has been polished to a key shine. The piece, over time will tarnish into a lovely patinated finish if not polished. The mirror is very well made and of good quality, one small blemish to the silver, lower left hand corner... if you are a vintage lover, this will not bother you as it is not offensive and works with the age of the piece. The mirror could easily be replaced.

French six panel gilt, hand painted, Art Deco screen with deer - Ca. 1935, The six panels bi-fold with a solid gilt reverse. Each panel measures 18.3" wide and 73" tall. A total expanded length of 109,8". The piece is near a century old, for it's age the condition is very good, however, as with any piece of this age there are some condition issues. We admire the patination and have restored places that displayed more serious condition issues. The piece is a compliment to many spaces and its unique and rare scene represents an era of beauty and opulence. Hand painted panels are a dynamic finish of deer and palms in gilt and paint - Art Deco remains an important design feature in many homes, from modern and contemporary or a Deco point of view. a compliment as a room division when needed or a dynamic back drop, the screen is a wonderful stand-alone or would be impressive attached to a large wall.
