The look of a leather bound book with fine gold tooling to the exterior. Originally used for Bridge scorecard and playing cards (included). The piece is a compliment to the bookshelf or side table, desk, or workspace. With the hinged ease of opening, the storage needs work in many ways - from things like papers, or remotes, 420 or miscellaneous supplies. The patination of the piece is lovely and shows great age, but all in good overall condition.
