An original pair of Grosfeld House Hollywood Regency chairs, ca 1940's. The handsome pair have been re-upholstered in Crocodile pattern Leather. The frames are in excellent and stable condition. The wood has been alone with many signs of patination and, what we consider beautiful wear and patina... if you are that client who wants pristine or perfect wood, these may not be the chairs for you - we pride ourselves in character and old world charm. The leather and new bronze finish nail heads are new and with excellent, no scratch or fabric concerns, but over time with element, oils and wear will become as lovely as the frames. A compliment to a more rugged space, like the bedroom of a rugged soul, the guest room, office and most certainly the room where people gather with cigars and glasses of fine sherry or other spirits!
