The knocker I would categorize as 'sweet' - likely too small for the main entry, unless it is an apartment or condo. Both have different hand painted decor or scenes that are very decorative and lovely - both have colors that compliment each other. Regal and firm, the lion We prefer not to polish our architectural brass pieces to give them a authentic worn look. The first thing one sees, many times, is the front door, sending a message of great style and sophistication. The lion has been an important symbol to humans for tens of thousands of years. The earliest graphic representations feature lions as organized hunters with great strength, strategies, and skills. In later depictions of human cultural ceremonies, lions were often used symbolically and may have played significant roles in magic, as deities or close association with deities, and served as intermediaries and clan identities.

A smoked glass fireplace screen. The glass is beveled and is on panel supported by two bronze feet. the glass has two spherical knobs, which make moving the piece much easier than trying to pick up the entire piece of glass. The simplicity is quite chic... photos don't do this justice as it really is quite simple and modern, but with reflections and other pieces it takes from the subtle simplicity. We have chosen not to polish the fittings but will upon request - this would give the piece a very new and fresh look - it is very minimal and that is the beauty of it.
